For all those who work heart and soul at their offices, every week is a countdown towards the weekend; and I’m sure most of them experience what we call the “Monday Morning Blues”. It is indeed difficult to prepare oneself to go to office after a tranquil weekend, for which many motivations have been suggested. I personally believe that no reliable rule of thumb has yet been produced to address this problem, and, I fear, might never be. We at Cheese just had a new-fangled approach to handle this by starting the week with James Cameron’s Avatar. The entire office team amassed at Symphony Theatre, Bangalore this Monday Morning to watch the ordeals of the much talked about “Blue” aliens to mark the start of an energetic week.
About the movie, I don’t think much talking needs to be done, as it has already been rated highly by IMDB and has found place in its esteemed Top 250 list.
I believe, the USP of this movie is the marvel of CGI animated “Na’Vi” creatures that inhabit Pandora, a fictitious world quite a few light years away from earth. Here is an interesting post about the design secrets of Neytiri, the daughter of the leader of the Na’Vi race including interesting input from concept artist Jordu Schell.
For those who find the idea of an "Office trip to a movie" absurd, believe me, it does wonders in beating the monday morning blues, as I myself have experienced; and with a once in a lifetime movie like Avatar, it surely is much more effective.
